In 2009 we established an tree nursery to help combat tree deforestation in the surrounding area. We have planted a few hundred indigenous trees from seed, as well as some non-invasive fruit trees. We have also planted several tree trungens (cuttings) at local schools, hospital accommodation and on the hospital grounds. Trees are a very important part on the environment, they help to combat soil erosion, provide shade, building materials and cooking fuel and help to change the atmosphere of the area.
